Blumhouse has released the final trailer for the film adaptation of the hit horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s! This is the first of many horror game adaptations that the studio is looking to do in the future, and it actually looks like they’ve managed to make a solid adaptation that will appeal to audiences and fans of the game.
The new trailer focuses on the creepy legendary story of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place and all the missing children. It certainly does a good job of setting the tone for the film, which is reportedly going to be 3 hours long.
The film follows “a troubled security guard as he begins work at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes that the graveyard shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to complete. You see, there are ghost children who own giant animatronics that they want to terrify.
The film is the protagonist Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mac and Rita), Pied Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We have a ghost, 9-1-1), with Mary Stuart Masterson (Blind spot, fried green tomatoes) AND Matthew Lillard (Good girls, yell).
Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and with whom he wrote the screenplay Scott Cathon AND Seth Cuddback.
Then there are the animatronic creatures created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
The film will be released on October 27.
