DUELIST NEXUS brings a new monster type to Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG

At the end of July, Konami released the latest core set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Duelist Nexus. This is one of the popular green sets so expectations were quite high. In my opinion there was a lot going for the set and at the end of the day it was average (cue of outrage in the comment section). There were new cards for Noble Knights, Phantom Beast, new retrainings of Two-Headed King Rex, and introduced the new monster type Illusion. Oh, and it had some of those nice Quarter Century Rare Secrets. I imagine the person who picked up my box of Battles of Legend: Monstrous Revenge must have been on a well deserved vacation when my box of Duelist Nexus it was pulled because it wasn’t that legendary. You can’t roll them all.

In addition to the box of Duelist Nexus, Konami sent me Gold Pride accessories and I really like them. They are great fun and the deck box in particular is amazing. It just has the Gold Pride character emblems in metallic paint and is really fun to look at. Might be my new deck box. The binder has the same emblems on the front, but on the back it has Gold Pride card graphics and looks great too. You can look at the accessories on the camera and everything I’ve pulled in the video below. As always, let me know what your draws were and what your favorite cards from the set were.
