Scalps is a 1983 horror film directed by Fred Olen Ray. The story revolves around a group of college students who embark on an archaeological dig in a remote desert, unaware that the area is cursed.
As they discover artifacts from an ancient Native American tribe, they unknowingly awaken an evil spirit known as the Black Claw. This vengeful spirit possesses one of the students, leading to a series of violent and gruesome murders. The group soon find themselves struggling for survival, attempting to escape the curse and murderous rampage of their possessed friend.
This is a very low-budget move and the dialogue in it is hilarious with lines like “I feel the evil in this turf: it’s alive with evil!” Also: “Look! It’s blood! And it comes out of nowhere! This is one of those movies that are so bad they’re good, the ones you’d only like to watch with a group of friends to enjoy together.
Enjoy the trailer!
