Scott Pilgrim versus the world is a fan-favorite graphic novel and movie, and it’s making a comeback in anime form! This November, the cast returned for another adventure in the Scott Pilgrim universe titled Scott Pilgrim takes offand protagonist of the film and series, Michael Cera, is talking about what it’s like to be in the lead role again. The actor told Decider:
“It’s weird and very funny. Scott Pilgrim has such a specific energy. The whole project, the whole world of Scott Pilgrim, is very energetic and really fun.
He continued to praise Bryan Lee O’MalleyO’Malley’s script for the series and the consistency in O’Malley’s voice when it comes to adapting his work for a new format.
“Every time I’ve recorded it, I have to send Brian an email saying, ‘I love it so much. I’m so excited about it.’”
Beyond that, Cera didn’t have much to say about the project, except that they’re recording image by image, which allows him to watch the scene play on a screen and hear “emotional” snippets of other people’s voices.
