Renegade Game Studios has revealed that they are developing a new GI Joe game that will be powered by Axis and allies game engine! Is called GI Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circleand will allow fans to play as team GI Joe or Cobra in a fight for control of the Arctic Circle because apparently taking control of the Arctic Circle is crucial!
The game will contain over 110 figures, including: Snow Cat, WOLF, Skystriker and Rattler. The game will also introduce new strategic options for commanders to employ, such as using the Weather Dominator to freeze the sea to block paths or create strategic land bridges. Players can expect to deploy troops in 2024.
Scott Gaetapresident and publisher of Renegade Game Studios, said in a statement, “GI Joe was the perfect fit for our new line of games powered by Axis & Allies. Now wargaming fans and the world’s last fighting force can unite for an epic experience”.
Renegade Game Studios also announced a new addition to their Robo Rally line-up with Transformers Robo Rally, featuring classic Robo Rally gameplay mixed with iconic Transformers characters such as Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Players will be able to choose from six different Transformers robots, each with their own personal upgrades that give them unique advantages and identities. Players will switch between bot and alt (or vehicle) modes, to better navigate the many roads, buildings and obstacles that make up each race. The game will also feature four all-new double-sided game boards featuring the city and desert landscapes of Velocitron.
In this regard, Gaeta said: “What a perfect fit! We knew we wanted to make a Stars Aligned Transformers racing game with Robo Rally! Now Transformers fans can compete on Velocitron in a game powered by Richard Garfield’s original Robo Rally design with additional design from Renegade’s R&D team.
