Vertical Entertainment has released the trailer for a new horror thriller about demonic possession titled All Fun and Games. The film is the protagonist Asa Butterfield (Ender’s Game) as a young man who finds himself possessed by a demon after playing a game involving a mysterious old cursed knife.
The film “explores the elements of cruelty inherent in children’s games – Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Hide & Seek – and what happens when games go too far. A group of Salem teenagers who discover a cursed knife that unleashes a demon forcing them to play gruesome and deadly versions of their childhood games where there can be no winners, only survivors.
After Butterfield’s character Marcus becomes possessed, he begins to hunt down his friends through a series of deadly childhood games.
All Fun and Games is co-directed by Ar Costa AND Eren Celeboglu from a script they co-wrote with JJ Braider. The film is also produced by Joe AND Anthony Russo through their production company ARGO.
The film also stars Natalia Dyer (Stranger things), Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (The haunting of Bly Manor), Laurel Marsden (Mrs. Marvel), Kolton Stewart (Locke & key), Annabeth Ghis (Midnight snack), Keith David (The thing), Summer H. Howell (Curse of Chucky) and more.
The film will be released in theaters and on VOD on September 1st.
