The first trailer was released for Kevin Spaceyis the next thriller Checkwhich is his first film to be released since pleading not guilty to all counts of sexual assault in the UK. say these are the kinds of movies Spacey will be making for the rest of his career because the damage is done.
In the film, Spacey plays an ominous presence who manages to hijack a government official’s smart car to take revenge. Spacey is not seen in the trailer, he feels alone. The actor recorded his part in London last December while awaiting the start of the trial.
The film was directed by Gene Fallaize, who told Variety he was glad he stayed with Spacey. “I don’t regret choosing Kevin and would do it all over again.” He added, “When we met with Kevin, we said, you know, [the meeting] it is for us as much as it is for him. And we came out of there feeling nothing but good vibes and positivity and got nothing bad from him. So we said, ‘Okay, let’s give it a try.’ It’s a risk, but you feel the risk is worth taking.”
The project is also the protagonist Lauren Metcalfe (Bridgerton) as Home Secretary Stella Simmons, e Mark Hampton (Connectionlisten) as Prime Minister David Addams. No word on when the movie will be released, but I’m guessing it will be a direct-to-VOD. The movie doesn’t really look that good or interesting.
