Gareth Edwards'(Rogue One, Godzilla) upcoming movie The creator, is one of my most anticipated films to be released later this year. The first trailer released for the movie completely blew my mind! We now have a new trailer to share with you, filled with new footage and a better look at the story the movie will be telling. It looks like Edwards has made an amazing film!
The film tells a sci-fi story on an epic scale, set in the distant future after a “catastrophic and apocalyptic war” between humans and artificial intelligence. John David Washington he stars in the film as a character who is tasked with saving the world, but may have to kill an AI robot child to do so.
The trailer shows Washington dealing with the AI threat as he fights to protect the robot child he’s been tasked with killing. The film is based on an original story and screenplay Edwards wrote with Chris Weitzand it sounds quite ambitious.
In The creator“In the midst of a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-Special Forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end war…and humanity itself.
It is explained: “Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory… only to find that the end-of-the-world weapon they have been ordered to destroy is an AI in the form of a child. “
