After seeing Indiana Jones and the Dial of DestinyI’m back to reviewing the other Indiana Jones movies that have been made, and they’re just incredibly well done adventure movies! Steven Spielberg AND George Luke he’s really created something special with this franchise and the road to making the franchise work has been an interesting one!
I have an old behind the scenes documentary from 1981 for you to watch that you may or may not have seen that takes you through the development of the film that started it all, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The TV documentary film was an official Lucasfilm production and was directed by Philip Schumann and narrated by Scott Beach. It also features interviews with Spielberg, Lucas, Harrison Ford and more. It is filled with lots of footage from Spielberg’s directing set and early footage from the film.
Watching this is so cool, it’s like taking a trip back in time and seeing how one of the greatest adventure films of all time was created. I loved it!
The hour-long television movie originally aired on November 28, 1981.
