Gravitas Ventures has released a trailer for a new crazy weed comedy titled Fourth Degree. The film is set in a private Catholic elementary school and centers around a brick of grass that is found in a fourth grade classroom. It sounds like it could be a fun concept to play with if done right, but there are definitely better stoner comedies out there to watch.
In the story, “At a prestigious Catholic private elementary school, a practical principal and an acting coach gather the parents of fourth graders to discuss an alarming situation: a brick of marijuana found in the drama class. To protect the school’s reputation, they must expel the student responsible. Ten wealthy parents and Eddie, an outsider, whose daughter has just won a scholarship, arrive at the meeting. After an aggressive argument, the principal and drama coach leave. Eddie promises to find a solution within the hour and save the day. Accusations, intrigues, and name-calling ensue as parents try to protect their children. In an attempt to calm the hostility and think more calmly, one of the parents suggests that they try some weed themselves…”
Fourth Degree is written and directed by Marcelo Galvano and stars William Baldwin, Teri Polo, Mena Suvari, Barrels Bliss, Ben Begley, Challen CatesAND Roland Kickinger.
Gravitas will release Fourth Degree in select US theaters and on VOD starting July 14, 2023.
