Amber Heard talks pressure on AQUAMAN 2 as DC movies continue to fail

Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the GodsAND The flash, all failed at the box office. DC Studios is very funky at the moment and fans are not expecting upcoming movies Blue Beetle OR Aquaman and the lost kingdom be better. It seems DC has lost the trust of the fans, e.g James Gunn AND Peter Safran they have their work cut out for them to win it back.

With what’s currently going on with DC movies, Amber heard is feeling the pressure to Aquaman and the lost kingdom as he is riding this string of underdog films. During a recent interview with Deadline, Heard compared Aquaman 2 to his latest film, In the firesaid:

“These are very different types of projects that represent two very different ends of the spectrum in my industry. There’s a lot of pressure on these big movie franchises, with millions and millions of dollars at stake, and the compromises are part of trying to make it The most successful thing can be.Then on the other end of the spectrum is a small independent film like In The Fire, a work of art and a work of love, which has nowhere near the same resources , and so there are tradeoffs there. the luck you can have as an actor is being able to balance both. Aquaman, that franchise and the machinery behind it, I’m very honored, honored to be a part of it. And then there are these little passion projects like In The Fire, where I’m proud to have met the director and the cast, and we got down and dirty together, to bring this story to life. There’s something beautiful about that, and I think success is an actor that he’s able to have both of those things.”

When it comes to the Aquaman sequel, initial reactions to the film have been negative, with several insiders saying that it is an unwatchable film.

According to a previous report, the studio purposely avoided answering questions about the film because “the test screenings for this film weren’t good,” also stating that it felt “something happened with this film that has almost never happened in test screenings”.

I believe Wan has been back for multiple takes on the project since these reactions surfaced, so hopefully he’s been able to sort it out. Regardless, even though the first film grossed over a billion dollars at the box office, I think this sequel will suffer the same fate as all other recent DC movies.

In the film: “When an ancient power is unleashed, Aquaman must forge an uneasy alliance with an unlikely ally to protect Atlantis and the world from irreversible devastation.”

The film will also see the return of Patrick Wilson like Orm, Amber heard like Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II such as Black Manta, e Randall Park as Stephen Shin. Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek also joined the cast in an undisclosed role, while Jani Zhao will play the new character Stingray, India Moore will play Karshon, and Vincent Regano will play Atlan.

Aquaman and the lost kingdom will be released in theaters on December 20.
