Uncertainty and tension have gripped the film and television industry due to the lengthy writers’ strike that began more than 50 days ago. As the writers seek a deal with the studios, another union may be joining the fight. Second anthony mackiestar of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, if the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) goes on strike, studios could be forced to look for unconventional alternatives, such as hire YouTubers to star in large-scale productions like ‘Avengers 5’.
In an interview with Inverse, Mackie expressed concern about the possible scenario of an actors’ strike. While he’s not sure how that would play out, he speculates that the studios would look for ways to continue productions and could turn to YouTubers or other social media figures to fill the void left by the amazing actors.

SAG-AFTRA’s current situation is worrying, as its contract expired on June 30 and negotiations were extended until July 12.
