Tom Hardy shares first image from ‘Venom 3’ with a nod to Spider-Man

Venom, the popular Spider-Man spin-off, is back with its third installment and filming has officially begun in Cartagena, Spain. As a show of enthusiasm, Tom Hardy, the protagonist of the saga, has shared an image on his social networks which gives us a first look at the long-awaited film.

The second Venom movie titled ‘Venom: Let There be Carnage’ was released in 2021 and featured Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson, as the host of the Carnage symbiote. At the end of the film, Eddie (played by Hardy) and Venom were lying on a beach and were mysteriously transported to another universe, thus revealing the existence of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

A little later, Marvel Studios surprised the audience with “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in December of the same year. This film brought up a multiversal story featuring the most iconic villains of the spider hero and also featured cinema’s other Spider-Man: Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield.

In a post-credits scene, we see how Venom and Eddie return to their realitybut a piece of the symbiote remains in Tom Holland’s universe, thanks to Strange’s spell.

With the start of filming on Venom 3, Tom Hardy has shared a photo on his social networks that has generated a lot of anticipation among the fans. In the image, the British actor imitates the graffiti of a dog and it is surprising that he is dressed in the same clothes as his character in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. This could indicate that the action of the new Venom film will take place after the events of the latest Spider-Man installment.
