Lionsgate has released a trailer for an upcoming gunslinger western action movie called The hand of the dead man. The film is the protagonist Cole Hauser (Yellowstone), Stephen Dorff (Lama), AND Jack Kilmer, and the story centers on a newly married gunslinger who is trying to settle down for a quiet life with his wife. But when Reno kills a highwayman in self-defense, he’s reverted to his old ways.
In the film: “Reno (Hauser), a newlywed gunslinger, hangs up his six-shooters when he says ‘I do’ to his bride, Vegas. But when Reno kills a bandit in self-defense, he finds himself reverted back to his old ways. The bandit’s brother, the ruthless Mayor Bishop, will not leave his brother’s death unpunished. In revenge, Bishop and his private army ambush Reno and Vegas, leaving the gunslinger near death, thus taking Reno’s wife prisoner. Reno then teams up with Marshal Roy McCutcheon to channel his fury as he vows vengeance on every single bastard that hurt them.
The film was directed by Brian Skiba (Crushed Velvet, Dirty Little Trick, .357, Slaughter Creek), and is also the protagonist Forrie J. Smith, Tait Fletcher, Mo Brings Plenty, Corin NemecAND Costa Mandylor.
The film doesn’t look like anything special, but maybe someone out there will appreciate it. The film is based on the graphic novel No rest for the wicked Of Kevin Minor AND Matthew Minor. Lionsgate will release the film in select theaters and on VOD on July 7, 2023.
