The canceled Netflix series Warrior nun has been picked up for season 3! The first two seasons of the fantasy action series were really good and fun to watch, and I’m surprised Netflix axed it. Series creator Simon Barry has now confirmed that the comic book adaptation is returning!
Barry announced the news on Twitter stating that the #SaveWarriorNun campaign has been successful, saying: “Today I am happy to officially announce that thanks to your combined voices, passion and incredible efforts – #WarriorNun will be back and more EPIC than you can imagine. More details coming soon! SOON! Thank you!!”
As of right now, there’s no word on which network or streaming service it picked up Warrior nun for Season 3, but that’s great news! I’m happy to know that we’ll see this story continue, especially with that jaw-dropping season 2 finale.
The series is based on the manga-style comic series of the same name created by Ben Dunn. The story is set in the midst of an ancient war between good and evil, and follows “a young girl wakes up in a morgue with unexplained powers. Her search for answers leads her to The Order of the Cruciform Sword, a secret society of warrior nuns sworn to protect the world from evil. As she juggles her chosen responsibilities with the normal obstacles of a teenager, this mysterious fantasy drama is filled with mystery, action, adventure and teenage romance, proving that our main character may fight for good, but she’s not a angel .”
