AMC has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The show will follow character Daryl Dixon from the flagship series, who is played by Norman Reedus. The synopsis of the series reads:
“In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Daryl (Norman Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series follows his journey through a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As she makes the journey, however, the connections he makes along the way complicate his ultimate plan.
The actor told EW of the character’s trip to France:
“His journey was a long one. Longer and even harder and weirder than you might think. He was so close to getting what he wanted and where he wanted to be. And of course, within the Walking Dead rules, he tore it away. By Daryl, you might as well have dropped it on the moon. This world now, it’s bigger, it’s deeper, and just as heavy, if not heavier.
There’s a lot at stake for this character! It feels like a whole new world within the TWD universe and I can’t wait to see Daryl explore it. Check out the haunting clip below and get ready for the series to release on AMC this fall.
