Brian Cranston spoke of doing a Malcolm in the middle revival for years. This is a project he would like to do and is actively working on it. Star of the series Frankie Muniz she previously said, “I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he’s writing the script and spinning everything. So, there could be something. I’d be 100 percent down.”
During a recent interview with Andy Cohen, Cranston was asked what the odds are of actually getting a Malcolm in the Middle Revival, and this was his answer:
“Yeah, I’d say on a scale of 1 to 10, I’d say an 8 that we’re going to do a reunion or a movie or a show or something. And yeah, we’ve been working on story concepts and story lines and stuff like that.”
He seemed very apprehensive about saying any more, but if he has an 8 out of 10 on this event, chances are he’s farther along in the process than meets the eye. In a previous interview, the actor said:
“We’re talking about it. We all think it would be fun if we had the right idea. Honestly, it would go a lot faster if everyone weren’t so annoying.”
I’d love to see this classic show revived as a movie or a limited series. It would be so much fun to see what these crazy characters are up to after all these years.
Fun Fact! My brother and I had extras on Malcolm in the Middle and appeared in a few episodes as high school kids. Those were fun times!
