The MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Franchise Won’t End With DEAD RECKONING Movies;  There are “ideas for what comes next”

There have been reports that the upcoming in two parts Mission: Impossible – Showdown the films will end the franchise. It is reported that the two films will be a “farewell” for Tom Cruiseis Ethan Hunt. Well, it turns out that’s actually not the case.

Director Christopher McCarrierecently told Fandango that “is not the end” for the action franchise! He also went on to say that they “already have ideas for what’s next.” So, that’s exciting! I’m happy to know that this franchise is not ending and that we will see more adventures with Cruise’s Ethan Hunt.

The director later spoke about the franchise competing with other popular action icons during an interview with Total Film, saying, “We don’t see ourselves competing with Bond or John Wick. We love those films and we admire those directors, and we want to see those guys win. All we’re doing is competing with ourselves.”

He went on to explain, “And coming away from Top Guns, we watched that movie and said, “We’re going to bury those kids.” We are going to crush Top Guns.’ Here’s how we look at it. Our only rivals are ourselves.”

In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, “Ethan Hunt and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, he embarks on a deadly race around the globe. Facing a mysterious and all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to realize that nothing matters more to his mission than he does, not even the lives of those he cares most about.

The film is also the protagonist Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Simone Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa KirbyAND Henry Czerny together with the newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Clementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War) AND Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans), Charles Parnell, Indira Varma (game of Thrones), Marco GatisAND Cary Elwes (Saw). Nick Offerman (Parks and Amusement)Janet McTeer (Tumbleweed, Albert Nobbs), Hanna Waddingham (Ted Lasso), AND Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, Nightmare Alley).

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, first part AND Second part will be released on July 12, 2023 and June 28, 2024.
