Wes Anderson shared some details about one of his upcoming film projects that he will start working on next City of Asteroids. There are a couple of films she’s working on, including a Roald Dahl adaptation The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and an untitled project.
Speaking about the untitled project, Anderson shared some of the first details and revealed that it will be a father-daughter story. You said in a recent interview:
“I finished writing a new film, just before the writers’ strike. Hopefully then we’ll shoot it this fall. This time I only have three main characters in the film, that’s all. A few secondary characters, but the core of the story is really focused on two main characters […] I’ve been putting off this project for a long time, for years, but recently it spoke to me again. Ever since my daughter was born seven years ago, my wife has said that I would end up doing a father-daughter story. I wasn’t sure what other stories I could tell, but then this movie came along. It will be a story about a father and his daughter.
As a father of three daughters and a fan of Anderson’s films, I can’t wait to see what kind of eccentric father-daughter story he’ll tell.
There was a recent report that Michael Cera has been cast in an upcoming Anderson film, and I’m wondering if this is it.
