Apple TV+ has released a new trailer for the second season of its ambitious series adaptation of Isaac Asimov’S Foundation. The story follows a band of exiles on their journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization during the fall of the Galactic Empire. This trailer features some exciting new footage and promises that the next chapter in the story will be epic and exciting! If you enjoyed Season 1, then it looks like you’re going to like what Season 2 has to offer! I also have to point out how visually stunning this series is! That’s very impressive for a TV series.
When revolutionary Dr. Hari Seldon predicts the imminent fall of the Empire, “he and a group of loyal followers venture to the far corners of the galaxy to establish the Foundation in an effort to rebuild and preserve the future of civilization. Enraged by Hari’s claims, the Cleon rulers – a long line of clone emperors – fear their unrivaled reign could weaken as they are forced to deal with the potential reality of losing their powerful legacy forever.”
Season 2 is set more than a century after the season 1 finale, “tension rises across the galaxy in the second season of Foundation. As the Cleons dissolve, a vengeful queen plots to destroy the Empire from within. Hari, Gaal and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psychic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: War with the Empire. Foundation tells the stories of four pivotal individuals who transcend space and time as they navigate deadly crises, shifting loyalties, and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.
The series is the protagonist Jared Harris as Dr. Hari Seldon; Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Lobell as Gaal Dornick; Leah Harvey as Salvor Hardin; Laura Birn like Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn; AND Alfredo Enoch like Raych.
David S. Goyer is showrunner and executive producer of the show with Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedmann, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dan Goldberg AND Marcy Ross also serving as executive producers.
