We know we have at least one more Spider-Verse movie on the way Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, and Oscar Isaac wants Pedro Pascal to join the adventure! He also has a role in mind to play.

Isaac, who plays Miguel O’Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099, recently spoke to British GQ, and when discussing Pascal’s entry into the franchise, he shared the type of character he’d like to see him play, saying: “Let’s find something for him. He’s supposed to be a spider person, like a cranky old spider person.

Yes, that would definitely work for Pascal! With so many different Spider-Man characters hanging around in this franchise, Pascal could easily come in and voice them. He just needs to be asked.

During the same interview, Isaac spoke about the voice of Miguel O’Hara and explained what he likes about the character, saying:

“He has this particular unique quality about him, but there are a lot of things about him that I think are very surprising and make him so unique. The fangs and claws and this violence that simmers at all times? He’s just a really interesting character.

Spider-Man 2099 certainly made for a very interesting addition to the story, and I really enjoy the unfolding arc for him. It will be nice to see how his story ends.

Isaac also opened up about his experience in voice acting versus regular acting, saying:

“You just have your voice to be able to express a lot of what’s going on. There’s more collaboration involved because it’s your voice, it’s the animators, it’s the design, it’s all of these things that come together to create the character,” Isaac explained. “There’s something wonderfully common about putting it together and just adding one element and then seeing it come together. It’s just such a beautiful piece of art.

“The artistry in this thing is so amazing, but particularly with Miguel. The way it visually transforms and gets more ferocious as things fall apart, I just thought, it was so, so amazing.

If you haven’t looked Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse yet, you have to watch it! The movie is so good! I’ve already watched it twice and I’m ready to watch it a third time!
