Get ready for more radical Hot Wheels gameplay! Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged has been announced by game developer and publisher Milestone, and it looks like it’s going to be a blast! The first game, Hot wheels unleashedit was great and became quite a popular racing game.

A trailer for the new game has been released and it has also been announced that it will release later this year on October 19 on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is based on the original game but offers new vehicle types, new driving mechanics, more game modes, an improved livery editor and some new environments in which to build your perfect Hot Wheels track, which also includes new specialized modules. The official description reads:

“Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged will launch with over 130 vehicles, including the debut of motorcycles and ATVs. Along with the increased diversity of vehicles and environments, which opens up more dynamic and strategic racing scenarios, the pilots’ skills will be challenged with the addition of two new skills to the Unleashed series: dash and jump.Side dash will allow tactical side strikes against opponents, dodge obstacles and daring flips to the finish line, while players will also be able to perform spectacular leaps anytime, anywhere.

One of the new game modes will be a story-driven campaign that features four different racers and comes with unique cutscenes. The new multiplayer options include online and offline events, with drifting and games like Demo Derby, Elimination and Grab the Gears. Online modes will also be fully cross-play enabled, with the exception of Nintendo Switch, and will return to local two-player split-screen.

It looks like this game is going to be a big step up from the first one and I’m excited to play it! Watch the trailer and let us know what you think!
