HBO’s Max has released a trailer for 100 Years of Warner Bros.a four-part documentary series that will delve into the history of the iconic film studio.

The document will be narrated by none other than Morgan Freeman, and will explore “Warner Bros.’s impact on art, commerce and culture.” He also tells the unprecedented story of “the legendary entertainment studio in its centenary”.

The docuseries will include insights and first-person stories from directors, actors, executives, journalists and historians, and will ‘track down Warner Bros.’ underdog origins – from its founding in the early 1920s by four brothers from an immigrant family, through decades of creative risks and impactful storytelling, to the landmark mergers of the 2000s that transformed the firm into a global powerhouse in ‘entertainment”.

The history of Warner Bros. is fascinating! If you want to get into the amazing nitty-gritty of that story, there’s a great podcast that covers it titled The Secret History of Hollywood: Bullets and Blood. This details the history of the studio in an amazing and entertaining way.

As for 100 Years of Warner Bros.was directed by Leslie Iwerksand “offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the indelible stories that have spoken to audiences around the world for generations.”

The first two segments of the series will stream May 25 on Max.
