Apparently, Disney has their hands on a 10-episode episode Alien versus predator anime series not planning to release! They have something fans of these franchises would love to see, and the Mouse House is keeping it under lock and key!? This is just insane to me!

The news was revealed during an Alien Day episode of the Perfect Organism podcast. Joshua Izzo, former director of licensing at 20th Century Fox before the company’s acquisition by Disney and founder of Alien Day in 2016, spoke about this project:

“There is, sitting at Disney now, 20th Studios, 10 episodes of a fully completed Alien vs. Predator anime series that I produced. It’s done. It’s in the can. It’s mixed; it’s finished. Eric Calderon and Dave Baker, two incredibly crazy talented guys”.

Izzo spoke about his initial pitch for the project saying Home Entertainment chief Dave Bixler was supportive of the project. He also pitched the idea to head of consumer products, Jeffrey Godsick, and explained:

“I said, ‘Hey listen, I want to pitch this idea of a direct-to-DVD Alien and/or Alien/Predator and/or Predator animation that we, the Consumer Products Division, can sell against. Let’s be the masters of our fate rather than waiting for the theater every time a movie decides to come out.

The pass was approved, e Shinji Aramaki would be hired to direct it. He has previously worked on shows such as Legends of the halo, Harlock, Starship Troopers, Apple seeds, Ex Machina apple seedsAND Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

The story of the series is said to take place sometime after the events of Alien versus predator AND Alien 4, but there are no other details beyond that. Disney has no plans to release the alien vs. Predator anime series, but I hope someone over there notices the push for its release!
