Ever since the announcement that DC’s James Gunn he intended to hire Superman: Legacy, casting rumors have been swirling. Fans are voicing their thoughts on who would best fit the bill to take on Clark Kent/Superman and who they’d like to see play his love interest, reporter Lois Lane.
One actress fans seem to agree on is The wonderful Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. While Gunn gasps about who’s auditioning and who’s in the running, Brosnahan herself was asked about the prospect of taking on the iconic role recently when she appeared on The View, stating:
“Take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt is my first tip. Look, that would be amazing; I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist, [who is] far from a damsel in distress and I’d jump at the chance if it presented itself.”
I think this is actually a perfect casting! I’d love to see her get the part. It seems to me that she’s somewhere in the process of auditioning or getting the role, and she’s not able to talk about it. I think she would have said that if she really she had nothing about it. So that’s a good sign, in my opinion.
