Crazy Heidi is the first film in the world of Swissploitation and the first trailer is out! This action-comedy looks downright crazy and like over-the-top fun!
The story is set in a dystopian Switzerland that has fallen under the fascist rule of an evil cheese tyrant, Heidi lives the pure and simple life in the Swiss Alps. Grandpa Alpöhi does his best to protect Heidi, but her desire for freedom soon lands her in trouble with the dictator’s henchmen. The innocent girl transforms into a female fighting force who sets out to liberate the country from crazed cheese fascists.
The synopsis reads: “Heidi’s story has touched the hearts of entire generations around the world. But meanwhile Heidi has grown up, just like us. She is no longer a sweet little girl. In the near future the world is sinking into war and chaos, but Switzerland has isolated itself as an island of the rich. A despotic cheese tycoon is ruling the country with an iron fist to maintain an artificial postcard image of Switzerland. When Heidi is kidnapped by brutal government troops, she must defend herself and fight against the cheese-fueled hate machine. They’ll soon realize they just fucked the wrong Heidi!
The film was financed by the public and was written and directed by the Swiss director Johannes Hartmann. The film is the protagonist Alice Lucia as Heidi, Max Rüdlinger, Casper Van Dien, David Schofield, Kel MatsenAND Almar G. Sato.
Raven Banner will release the ridiculously silly film in select US theaters and on VOD starting June 21, 2023.
