Disney has released a new featurette for the director Rob Marshall’S The little Mermaid. It is titled “The Cast Goes Under The Sea” and focuses on the cast. It features interviews with the cast and crew, offers behind-the-scenes footage of them at work, and shows some new footage from the film.
I have also included a video of Halle Bailey singing the classic song, “Part of Your World”, and she sure has a beautiful voice!
The film stars Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy like Ursula, Daveed Diggs like Sebastian’s voice; Jacopo Tremblay like Flounder’s voice; Awkwafina like Scuttle’s voice; Jonah Hauer-King like Eric; Malik art; Name Dumezweni as Queen Selina; and Oscar winner Javier Bardem like King Triton.
The little Mermaid is the “beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most rebellious, Ariel she longs to know more about the world beyond the sea, and while she visits the surface, she falls in love with the handsome Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the wicked sea witch, Ursula, that gives her the chance to experience life on land, but in the end she jeopardizes her life and her father’s crown.
Check out the new promo spot below, and you can watch the film in theaters May 26.
