VIZ Media wants to make it a little easier for you to read your favorite manga. The team has launched the new VIZ Manga app that will let you read over 10,000 chapters from a digital library starting at $1.99 a month. This includes many beloved series such as InuYasha, Komi can’t communicate, Uzumaki, and many others. New chapters will be made available weekly to everyone for free, but the subscription gives you access to the backlog. Another benefit of VIZ Manga is that it will include simulpub titles so you can read select manga titles in English the same day they are released in Japan. This is very exciting for manga fans and the price is really good, so don’t wait to sign up now.
One important thing to note is that this appears to be separate from the Shonen Jump app for $2.99 a month. It is not clear, but it seems that if you want to read any title in Shonen Jump you like it A piece OR My academic hero, VIZ Manga will not be enough. However, you can get both for just $4.98 a month (plus tax), and that’ll give you over 25,000 manga chapters to read. I don’t think it’s a crazy price. What manga are you reading on both apps?
