James Gunn delivered his first draft of Superman: Legacy and pre-production is currently underway. The director has also started the casting process and I’ve heard that he’s actually found his Superman, just not sure when he’ll announce it.

There are many other roles that Gunn will have to play in the film, and it seems that some of them will be played by some of the cast members of Guardians of the Galaxy! I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but fans will appreciate Gunn’s confirmation.
When a fan reached out to Gunn on Twitter to ask if any of the Guardians cast members would be in the film, Gunn simply replied “yes.”
Now, we have no idea who of the cast he’ll be using or what roles he’ll be playing, but it’ll be fun to see! In whom would you like to see Superman: Legacy? Are there any characters you’d like to see any of the Guardians cast members play?
The new film will introduce a new version of Superman and tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, driven by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.
Superman: Legacy will launch the film portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1, and will be followed by The brave and the daring, Supergirl, Swamp thingand more.
Pre-production on the film began last month, with costumes, set designs, and more now in production.
