Roll20 is getting a very welcome redesign

Roll20 is about to be redesigned! Over the past few years, Roll20 has been a great tool and virtual table for tabletop players. Below you can find a video where CTO Morgan Buck teases some of the things to come, including the leveling system change. This has happened to me and a few of my GMs and I’m willing it happened to you. The GM goes to add a token or wants to move a token to a different level and can’t figure out why what he wants to do isn’t working right. In short, it’s because the GM is on the wrong level for what he wants to do. Roll20 currently doesn’t do a great job of letting you know what layer you’re working on. This is a change that will be very welcome!

You can find out more about the changes on the official website, but here’s a quick breakdown of frequently asked questions. You’ll be able to opt for the redesign at the end of May (you can opt-out if you don’t like it). Once the activation is active, a feedback form will be sent to collect comments. This redesign is for everyone, not just subscribers.

What do you think of this restyling? What parts of Roll20 do you hope to see get a redesign?
