A new photo has been released that gives fans another look at the new creature coming to the Star Wars universe. An animatronic Loth-Cat was created for the upcoming series Ahsokaand was made by the crew that brought us Grogu, aka “Baby Yoda.”

As revealed in the Ahsoka trailer, the cute creatures native to the planet Lothal will be part of Ahsoka Tano’s solo adventure and while the brief appearances of the creatures in The Mandalorian have been CGI, that here is a new animatronic from the Legacy team.
The cast of the series spoke with Empire about the new creature at Star Wars Celebration, with live-action actress Hera Syndulla Mary Elizabeth Winstead saying, “It was real, it was there!” Loth’s cat puppet was a favorite of Natasha Liu Bordizzowho brings RebelsThe Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren in live-action. “That was my little friend!” she laughs. “That cat, the intricacy of the design… I mean, he’s got a real skeleton underneath there, because that’s how they control such intense facial expressions and everything.”
“He would growl and look cute,” says Ahsoka herself, Rosario Dawson. “Really, the detail was next-level.”
