The film is directed by Xavier Gens (London gangs) and the story follows Ebb, “a former mob hitman, pulled out of hiding when his former best friend and partner is killed. Ebb enters his enemy’s compound to exact revenge, but ghosts from the past, present and future all arrive to thwart his plans.
So, it looks like it could be a lot of fun! Gens said in a statement, “I am thrilled to work with Liev and XYZ Films and bring a modern design style to this unique and original screenplay. I hope to follow in the tradition of classic holiday action movies like Die Hard and create a truly entertaining film that audiences will come back to see year after year.
XYZ Films added, “Coming from XYZ, and given our experience of providing a fresh approach to action through films such as our Raid franchise, we see this as a similar action franchise vehicle to the blockbuster Nobody, which is been a huge success.”
The screenplay of the film is by Andrew Hilton and is produced by Navid McIlhargey and Erik Olsen. XYZ will buy the project at the upcoming Cannes market.
