Last year a new Clover field the film has been announced and while this would be the fourth film in the series, this film may actually be a direct sequel to the first film released in 2008. The first film also saw the launch of a viral Slusho website, and that site web was recently brought back to life! This is obviously to kick off the marketing for the Clover field upcoming project.

The Slusho brand tagline is “You can’t drink just six,” and the website invites fans to create their own Slusho blend using several flavors including Blueberry Zoom, Chocolate Rage, Banana Anime, and Strawberry Tasty.

The Slush! the drinks “are classic Slush drinks with the special ingredient of seabed nectar, which gives it a highly addictive quality. The company says the addition of seabed nectar also makes it super healthy.

The History section of the Slusho! the site claims the ingredient was “discovered on the deep ocean floor, under incredible pressure and extreme cold.” I guess this has something to do with the monster or vermin as one of the quotes in the Happy Talk section says “Slusho! it makes my stomach explode with happiness!”.

The mass extraction of seafloor nectar from the ocean floor is speculated to be the reason behind the monstrous creature that rises from the ocean floor and goes on a chaotic and destructive rampage.

There’s really not much going on with the website right now, but I’m sure that will change as the next Cloverfield movie gets closer to release.

This will be the fourth installment in the franchise that follows Clover field, 10 Cloverfield AveAND The Cloverfield Paradox, and the last film in the series was not good at all. I’ve lost interest in the franchise a bit, but maybe the next film will give it some exciting life.

The film was developed by the director Babak Anvari (Wounds) and writer Joe Barton. The latest update on the film came from Barton, who confirmed that his final draft of his screenplay is almost done. He also offered more information about his working relationship with the producer JJ Abrams about the film, saying:

“I’m writing this myself, JJ is the producer. So I go off and do my drafts and then he gives notes and Bad Robot executives give notes, and then he’ll jump in occasionally and look at drafts and stuff. I guess probably the next one, because Babak Anvari has just come to direct, so we are getting closer to the production. I’m doing some revisions at the moment and the hope would be that this would be the last kind of big script push, and then we get to really making it happen.

It will be interesting to see what this film ends up being, but there are no real details at this time. The original film follows a group of New Yorkers enjoying a farewell party, as they face the most terrifying night of their lives. A giant-ass creature the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city, leaving death and destruction in its wake.

JJ Abrams is producing for Bad Robot, along with Hanna Minghella AND Jon Cohen. Bryan Burk, Matt ReevesAND Draw Goddard will be executive producer.
