Kathleen Kennedy is trying to release a STAR WARS movie every three to four years

Lucasfilm seems to have had a hard time figuring this out Star Wars situation of the film since then Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker it was released in 2019. So many projects have been announced over the years and nothing has been realized.

After Disney bought Lucasfilm, the original plan was to release two to three Star Wars movies per year. Well, a lot has changed since those ambitious and exciting days when the future of Star Wars the movies looked brilliant. In recent years the attention of Star Wars it was fine-tuned for show development for Disney+ and the fans enjoyed it! Particularly The Mandalorian AND Andor.

Well now Lucasfilm has new movie plans and now they are looking to release a Star Wars movies every three or four years. Kennedy explained in an interview with Empire:

“I’ve often talked about Bond. This happens every three or four years and there wasn’t this pressure to feel like you have to make a film every year. I feel like that was very important to Star Wars. We have to organize this. It’s much better to tell the truth, that we’ll make these movies when they’re ready to be made and release them when they’re ready to be released.

I actually agree with this plan because there is a better chance that we will have better quality movies because of this. James Cameron he takes the time he needs to make his Avatar films, and the last film turned out to be amazing! Marvel Studios is making three to four Marvel movies a year and a ton of shows, and the quality of those movies suffers because they get rushed.

With Lucasfilm really taking the time to develop these projects, hopefully they’ll be able to put the stories and scripts for these projects in a strong place. There’s no excuse now because they have to get it right.

Star Wars projects currently in development include James Mangoldis the film about the discovery of the Force, set 25,000 years before the Skywalker Saga. Dave Filoni will continue the Mando-verse era with a big event movie that will conclude the story he started to tell years ago.
