Chandler has previously starred in the television miniseries Pistolas well as the 2022 film Don’t worry honey, where she played the character Violet, one of the wives in the film. The casting has yet to be confirmed by Hawley or FX, but the news source is very hopeful.

The story for Hawley’s Alien “It takes place before Ripley. It is the first story set in the Alien on Earth franchise. It has also been revealed that it will be set near “the end of this century that we’re in, so 70-odd years from now.” It will also be the first Alien story set on Earth.

It was also shared that it will mix “both the timeless horror of the first Alien film with the non-stop action of the second, it will be a scary thrill ride that will have people going back to their seats.”

Hawley has spoken about the series in the past, saying, “It’s about how we’re trapped between the primal past and the artificial intelligence of our future, where both [are] trying to kill us. It is set on the Earth of the future. Right now, I describe it as Edison versus Westinghouse versus Tesla. Someone will monopolize electricity. We just don’t know what it is.”

He went on to say, “It’s a story set on Earth as well. Alien stories are always trapped… Trapped in a prison, trapped in a spaceship. I thought it would be interesting to open it up a bit so that the stakes of ‘What if you can’t contain it?’ they are more immediate”.

Weyland-Yutani, the franchise’s massive company, will play a major role in the series. I have high hopes for this series due to Hawley’s involvement. He’s just a great storyteller.
