Star Trek: Picard Season 3 has done some pretty amazing things for fans of the franchise! There was a lot of fan service, but it was done in the coolest way, and it was also wrapped up in a great, emotional story! One of the most exciting things was seeing The next generation the crew gathers on the deck of the USS Enterprise-D and then sets off on a little adventure! This just made me smile so much!

We have a new featurette to watch today called “We Love You, Enterprise-D” and it features the series cast and crew sharing their emotional reactions to working on the restored Star Trek: The Next Generation Enterprise-D deck set.

Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troy (Marina Sirti), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), worf (Michael Dorn), Data (Brent Spiner) and Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) reunited with the ship that has been at the Starfleet Museum, which houses all of Starfleet’s notable ships from the past, Geordi revealed that he had rebuilt the USS Enterprise-D and was ready to go back to action!

Speaking of the Enterprise-D’s return to the bridge, Frakes said he and the rest of the cast were a little excited, and explained:

“Didn’t you hear it when the turbolift door opened and we all wandered around and found our side of the bridge? I think the music helped. But the most wonderful part of the morning was that we were all stuck in that f**king elevator together just like we had been 35 years ago, blowing each other’s ass and fucking each other’s ass It was just as childish and rambunctious a bunch as it was when we were doing Next Gen. heard everyone and how excited we were to come back and all the excitement of being on that deck, it was all very real. We felt it. But when we rolled and we were all standing there waiting for the action and we were crammed into that little room, that’s the moment we all remembered. Oh my God, because we’ve all been friends for 36 years. So being crammed into a room together in uniform, it was a very special place to be with those doors closed. I’ll say it.

If you are a long time fan of Star Trek, you won’t want to miss this new behind-the-scenes featurette. It’s great!
