Liam Neeson he is set to star in a sequel to his 2021 action thriller The ice road. The sequel is titled Ice Road 2: The road to heavenand this next story will be set in the rugged terrain of the mountains of Nepal.

In the sequel, Neeson returns as ice road racer Mike McCann, who “honoring his late brother’s dying wish, travels to Nepal to scatter his ashes on Mount Everest. While on a crowded tour bus traversing the deadly 12,000-foot terrain of the infamous Road to the Sky, Mike and his mountain guide encounter a group of Nepalese mercenaries and must fight not only to save themselves and the cargo of innocent travelers , but also the homeland of local villagers.
Gotta love Liam Neeson movies! His characters always keep getting into the craziest situations! The sequel will come from the writer and director Jonathan Hensleigh (Die Hard with a Vengeance, Armageddon, Jumanji). He said in a statement, “I can’t wait to tell this next chapter in the Ice Road saga.”
Producer Lisa Wilson added: “I am thrilled to bring this action-packed sequel to market knowing it is exactly what everyone is looking for and, of course, delighted to continue our partnership with Code and relationship with Liam Neeson.
Production is expected to start in the first quarter of 2024.
