SHIN KAMEN RIDER hits U.S. theaters for one night in May

Kamen Rider is a popular Japanese tokusatsu series and the latest film in the series, Shin Kamen Knight, is making its US debut! Fathom Events has partnered with Toei Company to bring Hideaki Anno’S (Neon Genesis Evangelion) in theaters across the United States for a one-night event. Shin Kamen Rider is a celebration of 50 years of the franchise and was written by Anno and is said to be filled with easter eggs and references spanning the entire history of Kamen Rider. Sosuke Ikematsu AND Minami Hamabe stars in the film as Takeshi Hongo and Ruriko.

Mark Hamill and his Return of the Jedi helix lightsaber reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clip

The film stars Sosuke Ikematsu as Takeshi Hongo, a young biker whose life is turned upside down when he is kidnapped by the cult of the Sustainable Happiness Organization with Computational Knowledge Embedded Remodeling (SHOCKER). Newly transformed into a mutant cyborg, Hongo escapes SHOCKER with Ruriko’s help, vowing to take revenge against the cult and finally put an end to their sinister plans for global domination.

Tickets for Shin Kamen Knight will be available for purchase starting May 5 through the Fathom website. The film will be screened on May 31st at 7pm local time and you can check out the trailer for the film below.
