A new trailer and poster for the sci-fi comedy have been released Robothero Shailene Woodley (The blame in our stars, Little big lies) AND Jack Whitehall (Jungle cruise, The afterparty), as well as Emanuela Postacchini, Chelsea EdmondsonAND Richard Lippert. The film was co-written and co-directed by emerging directors Antonio Hines (co-author of Borat next movie) AND Casper Christensen (Danish comedian who co-wrote the cult comedy Klown). The screenplay is based on a short story by Robert Sheckley.

The film follows Elaine (Woodley), a gold digger, and Charles (Whitehall), a womanizer, who each have a robotic version of themselves that they use to take advantage of others. The two learn of humanity when they are forced to team up and go after robot doubles of themselves, who have fallen in love and run away together.
It looks really silly and could be a lot of fun. Check out the trailer and movie poster below and watch Robot in select US theaters and on VOD this summer.
