I don’t know how Disney didn’t see this at National Treasure: Edge of History the series was a bad idea, but they went ahead, produced a full season, premiered it, and now it’s cancelled. Disney+ won’t be moving forward with a second season and I’m not surprised.

The show was meant to be an expansion of the National treasure film, and the story is “told from the point of view of young heroine Jess (Lisette Olivera) – a DREAMer seeking answers about her family – who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.
I watched one episode of the series, and that’s all I had to see to know it wasn’t going to be worth my time. I liked the National treasure movies, but this series really failed to capture the spirit and tone of that adventurous film franchise. Even when the project was initially announced, there wasn’t much excitement about it. Sometimes ideas just don’t work, and that’s okay.
The series is also starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker AND Lyndon Smith. It was produced by the film’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Jon Turteltaub and writers Marianne AND Cormac Wibberley.
Have any of you seen the series? If yes, what do you think?
