The film comes from the director Tina Satter, and “presents a snapshot of recent US history that draws all its tension from the gravity of the situation. The strong imagery and subtle direction of the actors in this drama place it on the verge of documentary. This allows for an unobstructed view of that day’s events, before they became a case that was to polarize the press, the general public and politics.”
The description of the film reads: “A young woman’s social media profile includes photos of her pets, her friends and her exercise routine. But on June 2, 2017, the posts end. This film begins the following day and contains text dialogue from the unedited transcript of an FBI audio recording. Audiences see the protagonist – played by Sydney Sweeney – arrive at her home in Georgia, only to be greeted by two men outside who kindly inform her that they have a search warrant. What follows is a chamber piece focusing on the interrogation of informant Reality Winner and the search of his home.
The film is also the protagonist Josh Hamilton AND Marchant Davis. It will be released on HBO’s Max on May 29, 2023.
