Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the official title of the next chapter in the Monsterverse film series, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire! The announcement came in a promotional teaser that offers a small taste of what’s to come.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is “the thrilling fifth film in the Monsterverse franchise and sees the legendary Titans Godzilla and Kong unite to take on a worldwide threat so terrifying that neither of them could survive alone.”
That menace is teased in the video, which also features the skulls of the two Titans. Godzilla and Kong fought in the last film, but in the next film they will fight alongside each other and it will be fun to see!
Adam Wingard returns to direct the film, and is the protagonist Rebecca room as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tiree Henry as fan favorite Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle like Jia. Dan Stevens, Falah Chen AND Rachel House join the cast too.

The script is by Simone Barrett (You are next, the guest). Legendary’s entire Monsterverse franchise is a vast narrative universe centered around humanity’s battle for survival against real, life-threatening monsters.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be released in theaters and IMAX on March 15, 2024.
