Scream film production team Radio Silence reunites with Project X for Untitled Monster Movie at Universal

After help restart the Shout Franchise has signed the film collective known as Radio Silence to Universal Pictures for an untitled monster thriller. The band’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett will helm the project, while Chad Villella will produce alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt at Project X Entertainment.

The screenplay was written by Stephen Shields, with revisions by Guy Busick.

Tripp Vinson will also produce with Radio Silence and Project X, who recently hit the big time scream VI, directed by Bettinelli-Olpin & Gillett, produced by Project X and produced by Villella of Radio Silence. The film, co-written by Vanderbilt, set a franchise record at the worldwide box office. The teams also worked together on the 2022 Shout revive the horror franchise.

Radio Silence actually saw it as the potential next project after the first Shout Photo but seen how successful Shout It seems that Paramount was quickly working on a sequel and wanted to get this film into production quickly. Of scream VI Breaking records, Radio Silence set its sights on getting its secret monster movie off the ground and framing it as the next feature.

Much in the spirit of Universal’s recent hits such as The Invisible Man And Renfield, the self-titled monster thriller, offers a unique take on the legendary monster stories and will represent a fresh new direction in the celebration of classic characters. Universal monster movies are rooted in the horror genre, with no limitations of budget, rating or genre. They are not part of a shared, interconnected universe, allowing each film to stand on its own. This new direction is driven by filmmakers and invites people with original, bold ideas to develop and present stories.

Jay Polidoro, Holly Goline, Kelly Cannon and Jacqueline Garell oversee the latest project on behalf of the studio.

Previously, Radio Silence was at the forefront of popular horror comedy Ready or not. Other characteristic works include South, Devilish battle And F/H/S.

Shields writes box legsa second feature for director Lee Cronin, with whom he collaborated on the psychological horror film A hole in the ground. He is developing a number of feature films with Screen Ireland including Dog for T4 productions. He is also working on an original American TV series, follow meand a full-scale original horror series called That alone.

In addition to producing the latest Shout Photos, Project X also produced the biggest Netflix series of the year the night agent, which was recently renewed for a second season.
