Jack Black has some ideas for this The Super Mario Bros. Movie Continuing and he suggests casting Pedro Pascal as Wario.
Black plays Bowser in the animated film, and while he’s unsure if his character would return for a possible sequel, he would The Mandalorian Star to represent Mario’s nemesis.
“It is not a given that Bowser will return. You know I made some Kung Fu Panda movies, and there was a different villain in each movie. You can do the same,” Black shared venue.
Black continued, “You know what if there was a more powerful, badder villain? Then maybe I should be summoned to help Mario and the others defend our universe against another unseen force of evil. Do you think what I think Wario. Pedro Pascal is Wario.”
The Nacho Libre Star recently had a feature on Pascal’s Disney+ war of stars Spin-off series with Lizzo.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie proved to be a big hit at the box office for a three-day weekend total of $146.36 million. With the animated film’s release on Wednesday, April 5, its 5-day total was a record $204.6 million. Worldwide, the Nintendo, Universal and Illumination film bowed to a $377.5 million box office debut.
Voice actors include Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Charles Martinet as Mario’s father, Khary Payton as Penguin King and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
