Jack Black Says He’ll Reunite With His SCHOOL OF ROCK Co-Stars For Film’s 20th Anniversary

Black Jack recently confirmed that as we approach the 20th anniversary of the classic family film School of rock, plans to reunite with her film co-stars! In the film, he played Dewey Finn, a musician who posed as a substitute teacher, and taught his he students how to rock and participate in a battle of the bands, finding their own unique voices and talents in the process.

Black spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the reunion, saying:

“All those kids — look at this — they were 10 when we made that movie and now they’re all, like, 30. We’re going to get together and celebrate 20 years. We like to jam. I can’t wait to see all the adults of ‘School of Rock’”.

Black added that he will “100%” use social media to upload photos and videos of the upcoming meeting. School of rock was directed by Richard Linklaterand written by The White Lotus Creator Mike Whitewho played Dewey’s friend Ned in the film. Sarah Silvermann AND Joan Cusack he also starred in the film, while child actors included Miranda Cosgrove.

In an interview last April, Black told Entertainment Tonight School of rock it remained the high point of his career.

“My best memories are just that group of kids, and how fun and amazing they were. It’s definitely the highlight of my career, I can tell. Honestly.”

The film spawned a Broadway musical of the same name and a Nickelodeon series.

I love that movie. It’s such a beautiful and heartwarming story, and it will be great to see the cast reunite!
