‘Grease’ Original Cast: Then and Now

The 1978 musical ‘Grease’ ensured the stardom of its top stars for decades to come. When most people hear the name Olivia Newton-John, they think of Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson, preppy and sweet until she sheds her poodle skirts to become a greased-up at the end (pictured here). Meanwhile, John Travolta teams up with bad boy Danny Zuko, the leader of the T-birds with his iconic greasy hair and dance moves. Olivia and John, along with their co-stars who played beloved characters like Rizzo, Frenchy, Doody, have remained timeless even after four decades since ‘Grease’ hit the big screen. Most went on to star in even more iconic films like ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Practical Magic’ and others. While the Pink Ladies and T-birds are no longer high school students, they’ve aged gracefully and with impressive Hollywood accolades. It’s amazing to think that the cast members are now in their 60s and 70s!
