A new trailer and a batch of preview photos have been released from the hit Netflix series Avenue of fireflies ahead of the second half episodes of the show’s second season, which will conclude the series.

The story ended with Tully (Katherine Heigl) leaving for a job in Antarctica, having just missed her best friend Kate (Sarah Calke), who was coming to tell her that he had just found out he had cancer. They had not spoken for several months, due to Tully being in a car accident with Kate’s daughter Marah (Yael Yurman), but it looks like Kate is ready to repair their relationship.
The series will follow its time-jump formula, between the friends’ 1970s adolescence, their 1980s career and relationship journeys, and the 1990s timeline, which takes them to their stories of Today.
The second half of Avenue of fireflies Season 2 premieres April 27 on Netflix. I’ll be sad to see the show end, but I can’t wait for it to sort itself out. Check out the trailer and photos from the series below, and let us know if you’ll be watching.
