Returning stars include Michael Cera like scott, Mary Elizabeth Winstead like Ramona, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pellegrino, Brie Larson as Adams envies, Alison pill as Kim Pine, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Jason Schwartzmann as Gideon Graves, Johnny Simmons as young Neil, Mark Webber as Stephen Still, Mae Whitman as Roxi, Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, e Elena Wong such as Chau Knives.
This project has been in the works for a while, but it’s finally moving forward, and creator Bryan Lee O’Malley finally took to Twitter about it, saying:
“I’m working on a Scott Pilgrim anime. [I]and for [Netflix]written by me and [BenDavid Grabinksi, produced by us and [Edgar Wright] For [Universal]…animation of [Science Saru]directed by [Abel Gongora]music by [Anamanaguchi] & [Joseph Trapanese], and the entire cast of the film reprises their roles!!! It could be the best thing I’ve ever worked on and I’m excited to share it with everyone soon.”
O’Malley then confirmed what those leaked reports were about Scott PellegrinoThe anime of in 2022 was all true, saying:
“[N]ews of Scott Pellegrino the anime has been leaked [J]January 2022 before we even started working on it, so for my sanity I decided to pretend it wasn’t happening until the day we got an official announcement. [T]Today is that day.”
Woo hoo! I am enthusiastic about this project. I don’t watch anime, but I like them Scott Pellegrino, so this will be a good introduction for me. No release date has been scheduled for the series, but I bet we’ll hear about it soon. Captain America actor Chris Evanswho played Lucas Lee in the film, also spoke about the project during his panel at the recent Chicago convention, C2E2, and said:
“Recently, [director] Edgar [Wright] AND Jessica Fisher Bryan [Lee O’Malley], they wrote – that email chain is also alive. It’s never cold for too long – they said: ‘We’re making a cartoon. Are you guys inside?’ And everyone was like, ‘Sure, yeah, no problem. Not even a question.’ Like not even a hesitation. Really everyone entered without thinking about it. So I’m excited to do it.”
