George Miller worked hard on his next film in Crazy Maximus franchise, Mad Max: Furious. It is currently in the post-production process of production and Anya Taylor-Joy offers us some additional insight into what we can expect from the film.

During a recent interview with Total Film, the actress opened up about the film and what makes it different Mad Max: Fury Road. He says Miller considers this new film an epic, and explains why, saying:
“The main thing George and I talked about was that Fury Road is a road movie. You know, it takes place over, I think, three days: get somewhere, then turn around and go back. epic movie This takes place over a long period of time, and you kind of learn about it [Furiosa] it’s better that way. I love that character so much. The whole experience was mind boggling and George is the best. I hope [people] have fun.”
I’m sure people will love it! Furious will give us the origin story of the badass character previously played by Charlize Theron. Miller has previously explained that this film takes place over the course of 15 years and called it a saga.
In the film, “As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a large Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus. Traversing the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe As the two Tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she musters the means to find her way home.”
Speaking of Furiosa, Miller hinted that the backstory is one he would like to explore: “Yeah, she’s quite a compelling character so it would be great to tell her story. Her backstory is really interesting. We only allude to that in this movie because this movie is on the run; people don’t have much time for recreational chat. But you gather, you get the sense that she’s been through things. That’s what the movie is trying to do. You’re trying to put a lot of iceberg under the tip , I like to say. One of the things that’s really gratifying, people read the movie more than just the surface — the events of the movie, and they just glean a lot of stuff underneath it, which is very intentional… So, in many ways, audiences are learning a lot about Furiosa – or enough to intrigue. And she has an interesting history.”
Mad Max: Furious will be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.
