It’s been nearly 15 years since ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ premiered at the same festival and now, Harrison Ford’s character returns in 2023 for the opening of the Cannes Film Festivalin which ‘Indiana Jones and the Call of Destiny’ (Indiana Jones 5) will be distributed by Disney.
The Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 16 to 27 there Disney will release ‘Indiana Jones 5’, the latest film in the saga starring Harrison Ford. The actor takes his leave with this presentation, as reported by Variety which, expounds, the company of the mouse has been invited to present the film directed by James Mangold.
Although ‘Indiana Jones and the Call of Destiny’ will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival, the film will be released in international theaters until June 30, 2023. A highly anticipated film because it welcomes Ford’s farewell for the last time in the role of the man of the hat, a character he brought to life in the previous four films and who are a point of reference in his career.
‘Indiana Jones 5’ is a production by Steven Spielberg and George Lucaswho have kept the plot details of the film a secret to this day, but there are some details revealed, and a trailer in which Indiana Jones again takes on the Nazis, so a great cinematic adventure is speculated.

‘Indiana Jones’ will be the farewell of the archaeologist and researcher most famous in the film and entertainment industry, the same one that Harrison Ford played for 42 years. It’s time to hang up his hat and say goodbye to the franchise’s eponymous character, although, for the moment, the story that will follow this film is unknown.
The first time we saw Ford as Indiana was in 1981 with the first film in the series. The film is set in the 1930s and takes the audience on a wild ride through exotic locations such as Nepal, Egypt and Tunisia. Along the way, Indiana Jones encounters dangerous traps, vicious enemies, and thrilling action sequences, all while trying to stay one step ahead of his opponents.

It was a critical and commercial success, garnering multiple Academy Award nominations, and launched a franchise culminating with the release of the fifth film in June 2023. Widely regarded as one of the best action-adventure films of all time. a true classic of cinema.
